Class I Div I Explosion Proof Plunger Arrival Sensor
ESO Electronic Shut Off Sensor is a sensor that signals plunger
arrival. The ESO was designed to sense a plunger as it travels past the sensor.
When the plunger makes contact with the tubing wall in close proximity to the ESO sensor
the ESO will signal arrival. The ESO does not require a stainless steel nipple. For best
results the ESO should be mounted as close as possible to the impact point where the plunger meets
the striker plate or rod. The durable outer cover makes the ESO shock proof as
well as weather proof.
Mounting Instructions:
Clean mounting area and make sure surface is smooth.
Remove one side of the yellow bracket from the sensor mounting post.
Place sensor on lubricator and reattach yellow bracket to post of sensor.
Tighten both mounting post nuts evenly to 45 inch pounds.
Make sure controller power is disconnected to plunger counter inputs.
Wire sensor to controller. Red wire to power, white wire to counter/plunger input, black to common.
Recheck wiring Do Not hook up sensor incorrectly. It may be permanently damaged
Test sensor. If sensor failed you may need a 5k to 10k ohm pull-up resistor between power and signal.
